چکیده

Alfalfa is the most planted perennial legume in world due to its high nutritive value, protein content, productivity, and digestibility addition vitamin mineral content. It also one of hardest plants ensile owing low reducible sugar dry matter (DM) contents buffering capacity. In this study, effects inoculation with Lactobacillus bifermentans which homofermentative brevis heterofermentative on silage fermentation different DM containing alfalfa forage. forages were unwilted, or wilted for 9 24 hours order achieve (L), moderate (M) (H) contents. As a result research, it was determined that wilting improved properties, decreased pH increased recovery. Microbial recovery, number undesirable enterobacteria silage. should be applied successful L. gave highest crude (CP) content while recovery (DMR).

Effects of homo-fermentative bacterial inoculants on fermentation characteristics and nutritive value of low dry matter corn silage

This study was conducted to evaluate the effects of inoculation of homo-fermentative lactic acid bacteria(LAB) on ensiling characteristics and nutritive value of low dry matter corn silage (LDMCS). Corn foragewas harvested at milk stage (22.8 ± 0.9% DM), chopped at theoretical length of cut (TLC) 2.5 cm, and stored in eighteen 3.8 L mini silos for each treatment. The following treatments were u...

Inoculant effects on alfalfa silage: fermentation products and nutritive value.

The effect of 14 microbial inoculants on the fermentation and nutritive value of alfalfa silages was studied under laboratory conditions. The first cut (477 g of dry matter/kg) and second cut (393 g of dry matter/kg) of a second-year alfalfa stand were ensiled in 2 trials. In both trials alfalfa was harvested with standard field equipment. All inoculants were applied at 1.0 x 10(6) cfu/g of cro...

Effects of Fat Supplementation and Chop Length on Milk Composition and Ruminal Fermentation of Cows Fed Diets Containing Alfalfa Silage

The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of fat supplementation for enhancing milk conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) in early lactation without affecting ruminal fermentation. 24 Holstein dairy cows were assigned to a completely randomized design employing a 2 × 4 factorial arrangement. Factors were particle size (15 and 25 mm) and two different sources of alfalfa supplemented with and wit...

Lactic acid bacteria used in inoculants for silage as probiotics for ruminants.

Many studies have shown the beneficial effects on ruminant performance of feeding them with silages inoculated with lactic acid bacteria (LAB). These benefits might derive from probiotic effects. The purpose of the current study was to determine whether LAB included in inoculants for silage can survive in rumen fluid (RF), as the first step in studying their probiotic effects. Experiments were ...

The Effects of Inoculant Lactic Acid Bacteria on the Fermentation and Aerobic Stability of Sunflower Silage

This study was carried out to determine the effects of actic acid bacterial inoculant on the fermentation and aerobic stability of sunflower silages. Sunflower was harvested at the milk stage. Inoculant-1174 (Pioneer®,USA) was used as homofermentative lactic acid bacterial inoculant. Inoculant was applied 6.00 log10 cfu/g silage levels. Silages with no additive served as controls. After treatme...
